Highlights
- The overall percentage of successful outcomes nine months after graduation is nearly 94% for all undergraduate colleges. This is significantly higher than the national placement rate of college graduates nine months after graduation, which is typically 70 - 75%.
- These data are based on an 76.2% response rate of graduates from December 2010 through August 2011.This response rate is much higher than the national average reported by most career centers, typically less than 50%
- Starting salaries for Creighton College of Arts and Science showed an increase of 10% and College of Business graduates' starting salaries increased by 2.6% overall in a year.
- Enrollment in graduate and professional programs for graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences is over 50%. This percentage approaches 60% when including graduates that pursue advanced study one year after their undergraduate degree.
- Salary averages for all undergraduates are very competitive with national salary data despite geographic placements being in locations where the cost of living is much lower and entry-level salaries for college students are lower than the national average.
Special note: The success rates for all colleges increased over last year. This is not surprising, as the Career Center has experienced significant improvement in employer activity, job listings, career fair attendance, etc. The market for college grads is clearly getting healthier.
