An Art Day in the Woods
Everyone is Welcome
Friday-Saturday, April 27th-28th, 2007

On April 27-28, 2007, the Creighton University Retreat Center
in Griswold, Iowa, will be hosting an Art Day in the Woods.
Participants may choose to spend all of Saturday with us,
or make it an overnight by arriving Friday evening.

The day will begin 8:30 A.M. on Saturday,
and will end with Mass at 4:00 P.M.
A delicious lunch will be served at Noon.
The overnight will begin with check-in, 6:00-7:00 PM Friday.
A light snack and a short evening session, around the campfire, will be at 7:30.

In the quiet of our wooded surroundings,
participants will work on a personal art journal,
and will be guided through several activities
to produce small works of art. This day offers
a way to pray through the creative side of ourselves.

The directors for this retreat will be Joan Lanahan,
a chaplain and spiritual director of Creighton University,
and Fr. David Smith, S.J., an art teacher and director of the Retreat Center.

An offering of $35 is suggested for the day, which includes some art supplies,
and a wonderful homecooked luncheon from our own kitchen.
The overnight, which includes a private room, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, is $60.
Participants who wish to stay overnight can also opt to share a room
with a friend, saving a few bucks, for $50.
You may be asked to bring a couple items from home, which will be helpful on retreat.
