Minutes: Minutes of the meeting on March 21, 2012 were approved by Ashlea Lem and seconded by Bev Doyle.

Wade Pearson led a discussion about the recent symposium. It was unanimous that Scott Moore gave an excellent presentation. The concept of having a targeted audience was accepted as a good way to get the message passed along. Mark Panning will post the power point presentation used by Mr. Moore. Planning for the spring, 2013, symposium will begin over the summer.

The Committee was asked to participate in the budget preparation for the capital budget process.

Lennis informed the group about the October 23, 2012, ADA Awareness Day. Planning for the event is in the beginning states. The event will be put together by a subcommittee including Amy Matthews.

John Pierce was not able to attend the meeting to discuss the May 3rd presentation about Disability Disclosure in the Workplace: What Employers should know. Each committee member is asked to bring two guests to the discussion.

Coale Johnson informed the Committee about changes in parking stall layouts. The new design criteria requires that one out of eight stalls in a parking lot be accessible. Six of the eight accessible stalls are to be van accessible. Van accessible parking stalls require a contiguous parth or isle that can be used by the disabled.

The meeting adjourned at 3:45 PM.

The next meeting is May 16, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Swanson Hall south conference room.
