Mission of the Martin Luther King Committee

The Martin Luther King Jr. Committee was established in 1987 at Creighton

University.  The committee's mission is to raise awareness and promote the

values of Martin Luther King within the context of Creighton University's

commitment to social justice, diversity and inclusion.

That commitment reinforces the values that King's life reinforced--including the

inalienable worth of each individual, the spirit of service, fostering

compassionate and inclusive behaviors and embracing the diversity in our

world.

Each year the Martin Luther King Committee at Creighton University sponsors a

series of events on campus to promote its mission.  Please see the complete

listing of celebration events at Creighton University on our Schedule of Events

page.
