Residence Halls Move-out Program

What is Give and Go?

Keep America Beautiful, Goodwill, and Creighton's IRHG and Sustainability Council have teamed up to collect unwanted items from the residence halls during move-out.

These efforts keep materials out of the landfill and create jobs through Goodwill Industries.

What to Give

  • Small appliances
  • Small electronics
  • Towels, blankets, linen
  • Lamps
  • Books
  • Computers, printers
  • Misc. household goods
  • School supplies
  • Crates / containers
  • Dishes & cookware
  • Clothing
  • Shoes

Where does my stuff go?

All items will be picked up by Goodwill Industries here in Omaha.  From their website:  "Goodwill Industries, Inc., Serving Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, has been a leader in helping people fulfill their dreams through work since 1933. We train and employ people with disabilities and others who may be at a competitive disadvantage in the job market, such as at-risk youth."  Sales of donated goods help fund the many programs offered by Goodwill.

Goodwill changes lives and strengthens communities through education, training and work.

Non-perishable food, toiletries, and detergents will be donated to Siena-Francis House or Together, Inc.
