PB&J Day in the Dining Halls

In honor of Earth Day, Sodexo will be offering several different options of PB&J.  Did you know that eating a PB&J will save the equivalent of 2.5 pounds of carbon dioxide over a traditional animal-based lunch?  More information here.

GreenJays Film Festival

Each night from 7-10 p.m. during the week of April 19th, the GreenJays will be showing films related to sustainability.

Location:  Harper Center

Monday: The Garden (Harper 3048) The story of a fight for a community garden in LA and gardens in the Omaha area that need your help.

Tuesday: King Corn (Harper 2060) The story of how corn is taking over, how to fight back and the importance of organic.

Wednesday: Flow: For Love of Water (Harper 2060) The story of the rise of bottled water and why it's not only bad for the environment, but awful for your health.  Fight back!

Thursday: Burning our Future: Coal in America (Harper 3040) The story of mountain top removal and the destruction of America's natural treasures.

Asian Culture Week Earth Day Events

This year, the Creighton Asian World Center is sponsoring the 6th Annual Asian Culture Week with many activities on campus April 18 - 23 in honor of Earth Day.  From collaborative performances and live demonstrations with Chinese artists from the Nanjing Arts Institute, the week of events includes lectures on green industry and design, film screenings, environmental ethics discussions and musical performances; next week promises to be something for everyone.

"Joy of Green Cleaning" -- Employee Development Program

Everyone is invited to attend our last Employee Development Program, “The Joy of Green Cleaning,” on Thursday, April 22nd from 8:30-10:00 a.m. in the Skutt Student Center Ballroom.
