Mail Stop Codes
The term "mail stop" is used to identify a specific location on campus. Each department or field office has been assigned a 4-digit mail stop code. The mail stop code should be used as part of your return address for internal and external mail. Used properly, it will speed mailings. We also recommend using your mail stop code on business cards and stationery.
The following 4-digit codes serve two purposes:
- Departments will use the codes in conjunction with department name for distribution purposes when sending intracampus mail;
- Departments will add the 4-digit code to the Creighton University zip code (68178) to produce a zip + 4 code when dispatching mail to off-campus locations. For example, the Health Sciences Library will have a zip + 4 code of 68178-0210.
