Faculty/Staff Parking Information 2017/2018

All vehicles parked on Creighton University property are required to display a valid University parking permit. A valid parking permit consists of a decal that should be affixed on the exterior of the rear window on the driver's side. If your vehicle does not have a glass rear window, please place the decal on the front windshield, lower corner on the passenger side.

The purchase of a Creighton University parking permit only allows you to search for and occupy a parking space as space is available. It does not guarantee the availability of a space.

Parking Permit Registration for 2017/18 for Full-Time and Part-Time Employees

  • We will mail your 2017/18 parking permit to your on-campus address.
  • If you choose to come to the Public Safety Office to pick up your permit, please allow 24 hours for processing.

Annual Parking Permit Fees for 2017/18

Faculty/staff parking permits are $380 per year for full-time faculty staff and $190 per year for part-time faculty staff.  (If you work 1,560 or more hours annually you will be charged the full-time rate. If you work less than 1,560 hours annually you are eligible for the part-time rate.)

The 2017/18 permits are valid through August 31, 2018.

For those who may drive different vehicles to campus, additional validation stickers are available for $22.00.  If you register more than one vehicle, only one vehicle may be parked on campus at a time. Secondary permits are for faculty/staff use only.

Basic Regulations

Parking rules and regulations are enforced 24 hours per day 7 days a week year-round regardless of whether classes are in session. Vehicles without valid permits, or those in violation of regulations are subject to sanctions.

Garage Parking

Faculty/staff parking is available on the top level of the 20th Street Garage, on the top and bottom levels of the 24th Street Garage, and on the bottom level of the 30th Street Garage. University ID and parking permits are required to access all garages.

Motorcycle Parking Permits

Motorcycles parked near bicycle racks do not require a permit, however, motorcycles that take up a parking space must display a current permit.

Special Attention Areas

  • Do not park or leave your vehicle unattended in Deglman Circle or in the east drive of the Harper Center.  That area is for drop off and pick up only.
  • Do not park in handicapped spaces without a state-issued handicapped permit or license plate.
  • Do not park in or block fire lanes, fire hydrants, gate arms or any garage doors.
  • Do not park on the grass or landscaping.
  • Do not park at any time in spaces reserved for the President, Vice Presidents, Deans or Jesuits.


Sanctions for violating University parking rules and regulations include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Fines
  • Vehicle immobilization, towing, or impoundment at the owner's/operator's expense
  • Disciplinary actions
  • Revocation of campus parking privileges


Parking citations may be appealed in writing at the Department of Public Safety.  Appeals must be received by the Parking Supervisor within seven days of the date the citation was issued.  There is also an on-line parking appeal form on this web page under "Parking Ticket Appeals." You may also appeal a citation in person at the Public Safety Office between 7 a.m., and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Protect Your Property

Unlocked doors or valuable property left in plain sight invite crime. Eliminate the opportunity for a crime to occur. Don't leave keys in your car. Store valuables in your trunk or take the with you. Report suspicious individuals to Public Safety by dialing 402-280-2911 or by using a blue light emergency phone.
