Academic Excellence
- Evaluate EDGE for 2012-2013 including the financial model for the plan.
- Develop a new academic planning structure by March 1, 2012 that includes a process for approval of new programs and the discontinuation of programs.
- Develop an undergraduate enrollment plan for the Class of 2016 that will attract talented and diverse students while at the same time increase net tuition revenue.
- Develop a growth plan for Graduate education (including online) and University College by April 1, 2012.
- Assure sufficient number of patients for the education of our students.
Revenue Enhancement and Cost Containment
- Complete an institutional capacity study by February 1, 2012 that addresses space utilization, faculty and staff, new construction as well as repurposing current structures, student housing, and growth of academic programs.
- Increase energy conservation with a revised plan by December 1, 2011.
- Finalize and implement the plan to grow philanthropy and prepare for the next campaign.
- Continue collaboration on organization effectiveness initiatives and communication surrounding financial processes.
Creighton’s Culture
- By spring 2012, conduct a climate survey.
- Set up a series of Town Hall meetings with the President.
- Implement University-wide leadership and professional development programs beginning the spring semester.
- Implement a series of social gatherings on campus for faculty and staff.
- Establish a new structure for marketing communications including best practices in terms of effectiveness and best use of resources and implement a unified University brand.
Budgeting and Planning Process
- Create by September 1, 2011 a Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) that includes two deans and a process that involves vice presidents presenting resource needs to the BAC.
- Develop and implement an information management system (data warehouse) to support planning.
- Adopt a Financial Review Model by July 1, 2013.
- Achieve a balanced budget for FY12.
- Design RCM model by 2013-2014.
- Redesign the University Planning Process in the Fall of 2012.
