Seniors
Now, it's crunch time. Soon, you'll be wearing a cap a gown and holding your diploma. Before that day, you'll need a plan for applying to college.
Find the right fit
First, you should decide if Creighton might be the right school for you. Find out if we've got the programs that you're looking for, the kind of peers that you'll growth with and learn from, the right environment on-campus and off-campus, and the kind of outcomes that you want. You may want to find out what our undergraduates say in their own words to get a better picture.
Apply yourself
Read Creighton's admission information. Make a note of the hard deadlines and plan to get your stuff turned in ahead of them. This takes some coordination: ACT and SAT scores and high school transcripts need to be sent, recommendations need to requested, and an application essay needs writing. Then, there's the application itself (which is free to submit on-line).
See CU
Even before you make it to campus, you can still see us in one form or another. Maybe it's through a virtual tour or even in pics posted on picasa or flickr. You can also meet up with your admissions representative close to home at one of the college fairs, receptions or high school visits. In the fall, we also have on-campus events for you and your family to attend. Plus, you can always schedule an individual visit with your admissions representative here at CU.
Explore ways to pay
Most Creighton students receive scholarships from CU. You may want to also investigate scholarships that are from sources, whether from groups in your community, a parent's workplace or elsewhere. You may also be eligible for grants. It is also common for students or families to take out loans to help pay for college. FAFSA season starts January 1, but you can prepare to fill it out sooner.
Take a few more tests
Get the credit you deserve from your AP classes by taking the AP tests. If you're really ambitious, you can even try the CLEP tests. Make sure to have the results sent to Creighton.
