In Creighton's incoming freshman class the median weighted GPA is 3.75; the mean ACT score is 26.5; and the mean SAT score is 1210.
What does it take to get admitted to Creighton?
Creighton looks for students who are strong both in and outside the classroom. Admissions are based upon high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, extra-curricular activities and a high school counselor recommendation. The Personal Statement is an excellent way of demonstrating creative abilities and attributes not reflected through transcripts. We recommend a high school curriculum that includes 4 years of English, Math and Social Science, along with three years of Natural Science, Foreign Language, and Electives. We encourage students to take a solid college preparatory curriculum that challenges and expands their academic skills. Program, honors sections and Advanced Placement courses will enhance a candidate's application packet. We accept the highest composite score of the ACT and the best Math and Verbal scores on the SAT.

What options do transfer students have for housing?
As a transfer student, you will have the opportunity to live on campus.
Freshmen and sophomores, unless from the Omaha metro area, are required to live on campus. Second semester freshman transfer students will likely be placed with current Creighton freshmen. Freshman residence halls include Deglman, Gallagher, and Kiewit halls, all of which are traditional freshman residence halls. Sophomore transfer students will be placed with current sophomores. Sophomore halls are suite style, and include McGloin, Swanson, and Kenefick Halls.
There are 540 beds available for juniors and seniors in our two apartment complexes, Davis Square and Opus Hall. Should space be available in other halls for juniors and seniors, they will be made available after all freshman and sophomore students are accommodated but we cannot guarantee housing to all those who might wish it after their sophomore year.

Will my courses transfer?
Creighton typically accepts credits from other post-secondary institutions, as long as the course was at an accredited institution and fairly basic in subject matter, and you earned a ?C? or better in the course.
Generally, the college you apply to--Arts and Sciences, Business Administration or Nursing--will determine how each specific class transfers. At times the courses may fulfill specific core requirements. Other times, you will earn elective credit for the course. The transfer credit evaluation process occurs during the application review process for the College of Business Administration and School of Nursing. The College of Arts and Sciences reviews transfer credits after the student is accepted to Creighton.

We automatically review for scholarship at the time you apply for admission. Please keep in mind that transfer scholarships are limited.
