The Health Administration and Policy (HAP) program provides you with a solid understanding of healthcare institutions, managements processes and public policy and social issues. The program leaves sufficient flexibility to customize your plan of study with advice of faculty advisers to prepare for several career directions in either private or public sectors. The HAP program is truly interdisciplinary in nature and draws facutly and courses from several areas of study.
In recent years the field of healthcare has experienced significant growth in the need for administrative personnel and the need for doctors and other health professionasl to understand health administration and policy. Employment opportunities include hospital and healthcare organizations, clinics, government agencies, long term care facilities, interest and advocacy groups and insurance providers, among others.
