Activate Your BLUE Account

You can access AMI directly at http://ami.creighton.edu.

If you've been assigned a One Time Password:

The One Time Password has been assigned to you for BLUE account activation only. Once your BLUE account is activated and a new password is established, the One Time Password is inactivate. You will not be able to access Creighton's online services (MyCreighton, NEST, CUmail, BlueLine, etc.) without activating your BLUE account.

  1. Go to AMI.
  2. Click "Activate Account" from the menu
  3. Enter NetID, One Time Password and Date of Birth
  4. Choose three questions and answers that will be used to reset your account in case you forget your password. Use memorable answers that are unlikely to change and difficult to guess.
  5. Enter an alternate (non-Creighton) email address and, optionally, a mobile phone number capable of receiving text messages.
  6. Create your BLUE password using the specific guidelines: at least 8 characters in length, including special characters, upper and lower case letters and numbers.
  7. Your account will be activated and you will be informed of your email address.

If you've been assigned a default password (doit@####):

If you entered Creighton prior to October 15, 2009, you were assigned a default BLUE password of 'doit@' followed by the last 4-digits of your SSN. Although you're not required to activate your BLUE account, you're encouraged to login to AMI to setup your security profile and change your default password. Your security profile will enable you to retrieve your BLUE password hassle-free without your 16-digit ISO number.

  1. Go to AMI.
  2. Click "Login" from the menu
  3. Enter NetID and Default BLUE Password.
  4. Choose "Modify Personal Information" from the menu.
  5. Choose "Update Password Reset Info" tab.
  6. Complete the security profile. Enter an alternate (non-Creighton) email address and, optionally, a mobile phone number capable of receiving text messages.
  7. Choose "Update Information" button.
  8. Choose "Change BLUE Password" from the menu.
  9. Create your BLUE password using the specific guidelines: at least 8 characters in length, including special characters, upper and lower case letters and numbers.
