Bonniol WL

1946? "Le Loup et l'Agneau." "La raison de plus fort est toujours la meilleure..." Colored postcard showing two children fulfilling the roles of the fable. Signed by "Bonniol" (?). Imprimé en France. Éditions Superluxe-Paris. €4 at the Paris Post Card Exhibition, Jan., '05.

The two children fit roles of lamb and wolf in the sense that the girl is smaller and weaker; she also has a lovely little lamb on her frock. The much larger boy has a mask and a dagger. Is he reaching for her or her glass? And how is he a wolf to her? This postcard seems to be postmarked in 1946. Again there is very nice color work here. The artist may be Ronniol or Bonniol or something similar.
