Vieux Moulins

1970? Two cards displaying lively colored illustrations of TH (N° 63) and FS (N° 71), signed by Janicotte. Blank postcard backs. Made in France. Paris: Éditions du Vieux Moulin. 40 Francs each from Annick Tilly at the Clignancourt flea market, August, '99.

The pictures are done in a vivid and colorful style. A frantic rabbit tries to catch up to a turtle already near the "But" sign on a tree. The fox sneers at the stork preparing to enjoy food from a vase, with a river and bridge pictured in the background. Flowers, trees, and other countryside elements abound in each image. There is a cursive title under each picture.
