HALL OF FAME BANQUET TO BE HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 30
The 48th Annual Creighton University Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom (1616 Dodge Street) on Thursday, April 30 (social hour starts at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m.). Former head men’s basketball coach Tony Barone as well as former student-athletes Chad McConnell (baseball), Tammy Nielsen Winkler (softball) and David Wright (men’s soccer) will be inducted into the CU Athletics Hall of Fame. All of CU's coaches and student-athletes will also be honored at the event and Bill and Ruth Scott will receive the 2015 Joseph J. Vinardi “Jaybackers of the Year” award. Additionally, the 2015 Rev. Carl M. Reinert, S.J., Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Year will be awarded. Banquet tickets are $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10.

The 2014-15 Greg McDermott Assist Club Luncheons will be held at Anthony’s Restaurant & Lounge (72nd & F Streets) and the first one is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7. Other luncheon dates are Friday, Dec. 12; Friday, Jan. 9; Friday, Feb. 13 and Friday, March 6. All of the luncheons start at noon and a season pass is $110 per person. Highlights of each steak luncheon will include insight on the team, newsletters with updated statistics, BIG EAST Conference news and numerous door prizes courtesy of Anthony's, Nike and Creighton Basketball.
