John Taylor
Senior Vice President, The Weitz Company
John Taylor graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a B.S. in construction engineering and technology.
Taylor established the Weitz Omaha office in 1989, with the successful completion of the Westroads Mall renovation and addition and the constrction of the Two Pacific Place office building. Taylor previously served as a Project Engineer, Project Manager and Construction Manager/Vice President with Weitz before Senior Vice President.
Taylor initiated The Weitz Company minority construction engineering scholarship through the local Boys and Girls Club chapter and local high schools. He is also a Board Member of the Catholic Youth Organization, President of the St. Philip Neri Athletic Association, a member of the Creighton University College of Business Advisory Board and a trustee for the Omaha Construction Industry Health Welfare and Pension funds and the Carpenter's Apprentice Training Center. In addition, he has served as an Urban League of Nebraska board member, and has coached a variety of Omaha youth sports teams. Taylor was honored as the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Construction Systems' Alumnus of the Year for 2005.
