MET payment plan for Full-Time Students
Monthly Electronic Payment Plan (MET)
For students and parents who are unable to make a lump sum payment of their tuition and fees, Creighton offers an easy alternative by providing a monthly payment plan known as the Monthly Electronic Transfer Payment Plan (MET). Creighton is now offering you the option of choosing a 10-month payment plan or a 12-month payment plan to best fit your budget.
The MET plan is not a loan program. There are no interest or finance charges. The only cost to the participant, regardless of the amount budgeted, is a $90 application fee for the 10-month payment plan or a $150 application fee for the 12-month payment plan. The non-refundable application fee is payable each year that you opt to enroll in this payment plan and must be included with your completed application. By participating in this low cost plan, you can avoid the impact of paying a full semester's costs in one sum.
The MET plan is a simple payment plan that allow you to divide your academic year tuition and fee costs minus any financial aid into 10 or 12 equal payments. Payments are electronically withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the 10th day of the month. The 10-month plan begins in June and ends in March and th 12-month plan begins in June and ends in May. Applications must be received by May 15th to start the automatic payments on June 10th. You may enter the plan after May 15th, but will be required to make a down payment equal to the amount of the missed automatic monthly payments.
An online MET plan application is available through the student NEST or Authorized User NEST web sites. If you prefer to mail in an application, you may print the MET plan brochure and application now (MET Application). Applications must be submitted by the payment due date for tuition and fees at the beginning of the Fall semester to participate in the 10 or 12-month payment plans. Please do not hesitate to call the MET Plan Coordinator at (402) 280-2292 or e-mail (met@creighton.edu) if you have more questions about the MET plan or you need help determining your monthly payments. We would be happy to assist you.
**Important**: Not including health insurance, parking permit, or yearbook fees in your MET plan budget does not constitute waiver of these fees. Students are still required to complete the on-line waivers on your NEST web site by the designated deadlines to have these waived. You will be responsible for all fees not waived. See Parking Permit, Yearbook, & Health Insurance Fees & Waivers on this web site. Also, the MET plan cannot be used for undergraduate or graduate school summer classes. Since the summer terms are so short (3 to 8 week sessions), tuition and fees must be paid in full by the first day of the term for each class (see Important Dates).
