Monthly Electronic Payment Plan (MET)

Annual MET Payment Plan for Full-Time Students

For students and parents who are unable to make a lump sum payment of their tuition and fees, Creighton offers an easy alternative by providing a monthly payment plan known as the Monthly Electronic Transfer Payment Plan (MET).  Creighton is now offering you the option of choosing a 10-month payment plan or a 12-month payment plan to best fit your budget.

The MET plan is not a loan program.  There are no interest or finance charges.  The only cost to the participant, regardless of the amount budgeted, is a $113 application fee for the 10-month payment plan or a $180 application fee for the 12-month payment plan.  The non-refundable application fee is payable each year that you opt to enroll in this payment plan and must be included with your completed application.  By participating in this low cost plan, you can avoid the impact of paying a full semester's costs in one sum.

The MET plan is a simple payment plan that allow you to divide your academic year tuition and fee costs minus any financial aid into 10 or 12 equal payments.  Payments are electronically withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the 10th day of the month.  The 10-month plan begins in June and ends in March and th 12-month plan begins in June and ends in May.  Applications must be received by May 15th to start the automatic payments on June 10th.  You may enter the plan after May 15th, but will be required to make a down payment equal to the amount of the missed automatic monthly payments.

An online MET plan application is available through the student NEST or Authorized User NEST web sites.  If you prefer to mail in an application, you may print the MET plan brochure and application now (MET Application).  Applications must be submitted by the payment due date for tuition and fees at the beginning of the Fall semester to participate in the 10 or 12-month payment plans.  Please do not hesitate to call the MET Plan Coordinator at (402) 280-2292 or e-mail (met@creighton.edu) if you have more questions about the MET plan or you need help determining your monthly payments.  We would be happy to assist you.

**Important**:  Not including health insurance in your MET plan budget does not constitute waiver of the Student Health Insurance fee.  Students are still required to complete the on-line waiver on your NEST web site by the designated deadline to have this fee waived.  You will be responsible for all fees not waived.  See Parking Permit, Medical School Yearbook, & Health Insurance Fees & Waivers on this web site.

The MET plan is not available for payment of  summer or winter interim classes for students registered in undergraduate or graduate school.  Since the summer and winter terms are so short (usually 3 to 8 week sessions), tuition and fees must be paid in full by the first day of the official school term for each class (see Important Dates).

The 2013/2014 MET application will be available online at the student NEST and Authorized User web sites beginning April 20, 2013.

MET Plan for Graduate & Part-time Students (Semester Plan)

Part-time, Graduate School, and full-time students who don't want to sign up for the annual MET plan option may participate in the MET plan on a semester by semester basis.  An application is required for each semester you want to participate in the MET plan.  The non-refundable application fee is $68 per semester.  Payments are automatically deducted over a four month time frame from a checking or savings account.  Payments for the Fall semester are deducted on the 10th of the month in August, September, October and November.  Payments for the Spring semester are deducted on the 10th of the month in January, February, March and April.

You may sign up for the MET plan at anytime.  You will be required to make up any payments you may have missed (please see schedule below).  An online MET plan application is available through the student NEST or Authorized User NEST web sites.  If you prefer to mail in an application, you may print the MET plan brochure and application now (MET Application).  You may, also, request a form by contacting the MET Plan Coordinator in the Business Office by phone at (402) 280-2292 or by e-mail.   The deadline to submit your application is by the payment due date for tuition and fees each semester.

**Important**:  Please remember, a completed application and application fee must be submitted each semester under the 4 month payment plan.   The MET plan is not available for students registered in undergraduate or graduate school summer and winter interim classes.  Since the summer and winter interim terms are so short (usually 3 to 8 week sessions), tuition and fees must be paid in full by the first day of the offical school term for each class (see Important Dates).

The Fall 2013 semester MET application will be available July 1, 2013 on the Student NEST website.
