"As a graduate of Creighton, I know CU is a special place for many individuals. I enjoy helping students and their families find the right fit for their college experience."

Territory:

Oversee all recruitment travel, as well as the Admissions Committee.

Personal Information:

Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska

High School: Creighton Prep

College: Creighton University

Major: B.S.B.A. Management Information Systems

Activities during college: College World Series Ambassador, Creighton Students Union, Orientation Coordinator, The Birdcage, Resident Advisor, Intramural Sports, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, & Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honors Society

Hobbies: Running, playing team sports (softball, volleyball, football, basketball, bocce ball), enjoying quality time with my wife and five children (Matthew, Mark, Ethan, Patrick, and Katie), and traveling. Our favorite trips usually take us to Disney World, with the exception of our trip to South Korea to adopt our oldest son.

Fun and interesting fact about yourself: I participated three times in the “Dopey Challenge” at the Walt Disney World Marathon, completing a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon over the course of 4 days.  My wife and I have each completed ten marathons.

Why do you think Creighton is special? Creighton is a place where everyone can fit in. As a native of Omaha, I love that we get over 80% of our students from out of state. We keep students engaged in and out of the classroom. Creighton is a place where the Jesuit value of Cura Personalis (Care for the individual person) truly thrives.

Do you have any special advice or tips for applicants? Start early on your application and be yourself. When comparing schools, make sure you get on campus and hear from the experts about what school is the better value.

What do you like about Omaha and what are your favorite secret spots? Omaha has big city opportunities, without the big city problems. The year round calendar of sporting events, concerts, performing arts, and other special events makes Omaha one of the best event cities around. Some of my favorite spots include the Henry Doorly Zoo (of course!), The Old Market, Hot Shops, Blackstone District, Midtown Crossing (Bocce on Tuesdays!), and the area around the CHI Health Center and Charles Schwab Field Omaha (NoDo).
