STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Are you interested in an on-campus job that pays you to watch sports? Would you like an on-campus job that also pays you to exercise? If so, then sign up to be an intramural sports official! We offer student officiating positions in the following sports: Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! We provide paid training for all of our sports. And yes, you are allowed to officiate and play the same sports! If interested, simply show up to the training sessions. We will teach you the rules of the game, proper officiating mechanics, and program regulations.
Our next training sessions (Basketball) will be on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 in KFC 148 and Sunday, Jan. 17 at 7:00 on KFC Court E.
Wage scale is as follows:
1st Year: $7.25/hour
2nd year: $7.50/hour
3rd Year: $8.00/hour
4th Year: $8.50/hour
Check the IM Web Page and other campus announcement sites for dates and times of officials' clinics for the upcoming season.
All Officials' Clinics will take place in KFC Classroom 145 or 148.
Intramural Sports Supervisor: This is a position of leadership within the Department of Campus Recreation. The IM Sports supervisor will assist with the overall operation of the IM Sports program, including helping with scheduling, operations, payroll, policy enforcement, field and court preparation, record keeping, and officials' training. People who are interested need to be available to work evenings and weekends. The employees of Intramural Sports work flexible hours and are paid on an hourly basis.
