Postponements/Rescheduling

Due to the large number of teams and limited available facilities, there are very limited rescheduling opportunities.  The following procedures must be followed in order to reschedule any contest.

1. The Team Captain that needs to reschedule the contest must check with the Associate Director to find out available dates/times are available
2. When a scheduling conflict involves one team or captain, it is at the discretion of the opposing team or captain whether to reschedule or not. If the opposing captain or team does not elect to reschedule the contest, the game will be played at the date and time it was originally scheduled. 
3. League games that are not completed by the end of the regular season will not be played.
4. Teams are responsible for checking the Intramural Web Site for rescheduled contests.
5. Teams postponing a game without securing the consent of the Associate Director of Campus Recreation will be assessed a forfeit.
6. In case of inclement weather, the Intramural Sports Program Staff will be the final authority on whether contests will be rescheduled. On the field, the Intramural Supervisor will determine if play will be continued.
7. Weather cancellations will not be determined until 5:00pm on weekdays of scheduled play. Dial the IM Sports Weather Line, 280-1703 after 5pm, for information concerning postponements due to poor weather or playing conditions.   You may also check the IM Web page.
8. If during the course of games, the Intramural Supervisor cancels contests due to inclement weather, the IM Sports Weather Line and IM Web page will be updated as soon as possible with this information.
9. Due to the lack of space, some IM contest may not be able to be rescheduled.  The Associate Director will post on the IM Web page possible outcomes which could include refunds, change of tournament format, etc.
10. Prior to the posting of the play-offs, the team captain must notify the IM Director of possible scheduling conflicts. Once the play-offs are posted:  PLAY-OFF GAMES WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULED EXCEPT FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER.
