The Minor in American Studies: 18 credits
The American Studies minor complements a wide range of majors by offering interdisciplinary approaches to the study of American life that are comparative, theoretical, and transnational in scope.
Course Requirements
(all of the following foundational courses):
AMS 307 Introduction to American Studies 3 credits
AMS 308 Theories and Methods in American Studies 3 credits
In addition, minors must take two courses (6 credits) from two of the following disciplinary clusters for a total of 12 credits. For a listing of courses in each cluster, please consult the American Studies major.
