Chinese Artists Visit NE State Capitol (April 10, 2014)

On April 10, 2014, a group of thirteen Chinese artists hosted by the Asian World Center and visiting Creighton for an exhibition of teapots and hand fan paintings  visited the Nebraska State Capitol building and met with Senator Sue Crawford (45th legislative district in the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature and professor of political science at Creighton).

Dr. Maorong Jiang, director of the Asian World Center, accompanied the group to Lincoln to meet with Sen. Crawford. The group received a standing welcome from the entire legislative body when Sen. Crawford introduced them to the Floor. While at the Capitol, the group also got the chance to observe the democratic process at work.
