Students Presenting at Central States Communication Association Convention 2013

"Michael Kotrous and Mary McGroarty at the conference in Kansas City. Michael rhetorically analyzed two films and argued that they perpetuated systemic racism. Mary rhetorically critiqued a museum in Johannesburg to discover how it honored a movement and remembered a tragedy."

New Major Curriculum
The department recently implemented a new major, Communication Studies, approved in April of 2010.  Check it out!

 Freshman Leadership Program
The Freshman Leadership Program and the Department of Communication Studies began a partnership for FLP students to take a Communication Studies course together.  Various faculty are teaching courses within this program! Check out the FLP website for further details!
