Tina M. Bakehouse (M.A. Communication, University of Nebraska-Omaha) teaches principles in communication competence and organization communication. She taught speech and English over five years at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs and Process Writing for two summers at Boys Town in Omaha. Her research interests include interpersonal communication, oral and written instructional communication, and nonverbal communication. Prof. Bakehouse gained professional experience working as an employment specialist in human resources for Omaha Steaks and promoting parades at Walt Disney World. An active Iowa High School Speech Association judge, Prof. Bakehouse judges four competitions annually. She is currently working toward her PhD in Communication Studies.
