| Carly RademacherCarly Rademacher, named Outstanding Journalism Graduate, majored in the public relations track. Carly was awarded the David A. Haberman Award for Ethics and Integrity. She also received degrees in English and Economics. With a passion for communication, Carly has held internship positions with several organizations; including the National Marrow Donor Program, Spreetail, the Creighton Honors Program, and, most recently, as a part of the Communications Team with the Creighton Schlegel Center for Service and Justice. She has also conducted research in both the English and Economics departments. A member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Nu, Carly graduates with a cumulative 3.99 GPA. Outside of academics, she has also loved her involvements in Kappa Kappa Gamma and Blue Crew. Carly has loved her Jesuit education and has taken advantage of many service opportunities. These include multiple Service and Justice trips, weekly service with the Siena Francis House, and heavy involvement with CrossOver Prison Ministries. Her love of service, and her call to be a person for and with others, has led Carly to pursue a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps this coming year where she will serve with the Bethesda Project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Carly could not be more grateful to the faculty and staff of the Computer Science, Design, and Journalism Department for the massive impact they have had on her Creighton experience. |
| Dannah ShurlingDannah Shurling, named Outstanding Graduate in Public Relations and Graphic Design who majored in both subjects. She also was part of Creighton’s PRSSA chapter since her sophomore year and served as both Vice President and President for her junior and senior years respectfully. She served as Vice President of Public Relations for the university’s Panhellenic Council and Senior Graphic Designer for the university’s Creative Suite. In the future, she hopes to use the excellent foundation she received from the CSDJ Department and Creighton University to be an innovative leader in her field. |
| Ryan KingMajoring on the public relations track, Ryan King was named Outstanding Journalism Graduate, and served as sports editor for the Creightonian and vice president for PRSSA. Ryan was awarded Outstanding Journalism Graduate. During his time at Creighton, he completed internships at Walker Sands Communications in Chicago, Washburn Center for Children in Minneapolis and in Creighton’s marketing department. He was also involved in CSU and Greek life. |
| Samatha HughesSamantha Hughes was awarded the Outstanding Computer Science Senior in her class and the recipient of the John N. Mordeson Award. This award recoginizes a senior who displays an outstanding achievement in community service and academic excellence. Samantha was an Honorable Mention for the Computing Research Association's Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award for 2020 and has been a Clare Boothe Luce Scholar. |
