Timothy Cook earned his PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and Administration at Boston College.  He served as the chief administrator of a Catholic junior-senior high school in Rhode Island before coming to Creighton.  Dr. Cook is the current chair of the Education Department. In addition, he teaches graduate courses in the Educational Leadership program such as School Culture, Foundations of Catholic Education, School Law, and Secondary School Internship.  His research interests include Catholic school identity and charism, school culture, and mission-centered and faith leadership.  He is the author of two books: Architects of Catholic Culture:  Designing & Building Catholic Culture in Catholic Schools and Charism and Culture: Cultivating Catholic Identity in Catholic Schools.  Due to his research, Dr. Cook has become recognized as an expert on Catholic school identity and culture issues stateside and abroad. Dr. Cook is available for speeches, presentations, workshops, or consulting related to these topics: exploring Catholic identity in 21st century schools, measuring religious mission effectiveness, strengthening Catholic school character and culture, contemplating the charism of Catholic education for a modern age, and mission-centered/faith leadership.
