Director:  Lynn Olson, lolson@creighton.edu;

The Creighton University Department of Education is excited to offer a new graduate program designed to meet the needs of people with bachelor degrees, with the desire to become elementary teachers.  This program results in a Master's Degree and a Nebraska PK - 8 Initial Teaching Certificate.

The streamlined program can be completed in 19 months by starting in late May and completing coursework and student teaching by December of the following year.  This program has been designed to allow students to complete it at a slower pace, although some of the courses are offered only during the summer sessions.  Many of the teaching methods courses  are offered only during the regular school day to allow access to elementary classrooms and young students for practicum experiences, but many of the courses are offered in the early evenings during the week.
