The mission of the Creighton Special Education endorsement is to prepare quality leaders for Catholic, public and private education.  Special educators display a personal concern for individuals with differences in learning and development.  Demonstrating care for special needs students by providing individual educational programs, or through collaboration with others to provide a supportive, enriching environment, is a goal that professors and adjunct instructors emphasize in course work.  Developing the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed in future leaders in Special Education is the emphasis of the program.

     Faculty members reflect a personal interest in each student by providing advising and mentoring.  Students are encouraged to explore the diverse field of Special Education through placements in schools, clinics, and hospital settings.  Opportunities are made available to work closely with faculty members in professional settings where papers are presented and publications submitted.
