Exercise Biochemistry Laboratory

G. Patrick Lambert, Ph.D. is the Director of the Exercise Biochemistry Laboratory.  The lab is equipped with numerous pieces of equipment (see below) that allow biochemical analysis of samples obtained from Dr. Lambert's research studies.  Research in this laboratory focuses on function of the gastrointestinal system during various stresses such as prolonged exercise.  Students working in the laboratory get hands-on experience conducting research studies including the collection and analysis of biological samples.

Lab Equipment: high-performance liquid chromatography system, water deionization system, spectrophotometers, plate reader, osmometer, flame photometer, analytical balances, centrifuges, fume hood, incubator, refrigerators, freezers, computers, treadmill, and electronically-braked cycle ergometer.
