Dr. Richard Super, a Creighton undergraduate alumnus, earned his Ph.D. in Latin American history at Arizona State University in 1975. Since joining the Creighton faculty in 1976, he has taught a wide variety of courses on Latin America, as well the comparative Americas of Latin America, Canada , and the United States . He has also served terms as Assistant Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Chairman of the History Department. His recent interests and activities focus on the Dominican Republic --he has twice accompanied Creighton students for a semester of study there; his current research examines the life and times of longtime president Joaquin Balaguer.
Dr. Super serves as the director of the Ratio Studiorium Program.
