Biography
Dr. Arribas is a specialist in the Spanish literatures of the Golden Age, and more specifically in the pastoral romance. He is the author of two critical editions of pastoral romances which examine the textual and critical aspects of those works and determine their definitive text. His articles have appeared in referred professional journals, such as Romance Notes or Calíope. Arribas is currently working on a new book which is an examination of the ideas of beauty, love and gender roles in the literatures of the Spanish Golden Age. Arribas has been the recipient of numerous research fellowships including a National Endowment for the Humanities.
