Spanish Major

B.A., MAJOR IN SPANISH AND HISPANIC STUDIES

The major in Spanish and Hispanic Studies has both a literary and a professional track, each offering advanced language and culture courses. In addition, the literary track has a strong literary component.

A NEW SPANISH MAJOR WILL BE OFFERED BEGINNING IN FALL 2012. STUDENTS SELECTING A SPANISH MAJOR MAY CHOOSE EITHER THE OLD OR THE NEW MAJOR BETWEEN NOW AND MAY 1, 2012.

Admission to the New Spanish Major: Completion of SPN 201 or higher with a grade of ?C? or better.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE OLD MAJOR IN SPANISH AND HISPANIC STUDIES: Completion of SPN 202, SPN 215, SPN 310, or SPN 311 with a grade of "C" or better.

The major in Spanish and Hispanic Studies is composed of 33 credit hours, beginning with SPN 310 or SPN 311. You may apply here  for the Spanish major. Please make an appointment with us.
