Message from the Dean

I am delighted to hear that you are interested in studying arts and sciences at Creighton University.  I would love to learn more about your personal and professional goals and to answer any questions you have about the College or the University.

We want you to grow throughout your four years in our community as a student and a scholar, but also as an interesting, talented young adult. We want you to gain the perspective to know exactly what you want to do in life–and the skills to do it brilliantly. And we want you to discover how to achieve personal goals in the context of a compassionate, faith-filled view of the world that leads you naturally to respect and serve others.

That’s a pretty ambitious agenda! But we have found repeatedly that Creighton students rise to the challenges we place before them. And if our expectations are admittedly high, the College also commits its considerable resources to supporting you in all aspects of your life. The higher you set your sights, the more you will discover that faculty and staff go out of their way to make sure that you will have the opportunity to realize your dreams.

When you join Creighton University, you connect above all to a community of dedicated teacher-scholars, caring administrators, and classmates who become your friends for life. As a community, we are bound together by our respect for a set of shared priorities: good teaching, eager learning, enthusiastic participation, and devotion to our respective faith traditions.

The College of Arts and Sciences is truly is a vibrant, stimulating, creative, and supportive community of teaching and learning.  I hope that you will capture a sense of this excitement as you finalize your college plans and I am eager to see you on campus next fall!

Sincerely,
