The Courses

Courses are accredited through Creighton University. Dr. Dugan will formally advise registered students during Creighton's summer registration in April. Students take two courses: HIS 395 and ENG 495.

HIS 395: The Irish Experience (3 credits) -- Dr. Dugan

This course explores select moments in Irish history from earliest times to the present day.  Particular attention is given to the intersection of history and culture as evidenced in literature and music.

ENG 495: Writing Dublin: A Written, Oral, Visual, and Electronic Discovery  (3 credits) -- Dr. Whipple

This class will take you on an in-depth look at one of Europe's most fascinating and historic cities. By reading about and immersing yourself in written, spoken, and digital representations of Dublin, as well as writing about and making short media-rich productions, you will learn about Dublin's culture, history, and literary importance.
