Historical and Systematic

Program Description:  The minor in Historical and Systematic Theology offers students an opportunity to explore the development of the Christian theological tradition in its historical complexity.  The minor focuses on doctrinal themes such as Trinitarian thought, Christology, and Ecclesiology, but these themes are always treated in the context of their historical development of the core beliefs about the nature of God, God's involvement in the world, and the mission of the Church in the world. Requirements include:

Historical and Systematic Theology (18 hrs)  

A)  One class (3 hrs) from courses numbered THL 201-212   

B)  One class (3 hrs) from courses numbered THL 324-44   

C) Three classes (9 hrs) from courses numbered THL 530-556  

D) One additional course (3 hrs) from the 300- and 500-level courses listed above
