The Student Health Services staff and Counseling staff at Creighton place a high priority on student care and education. Part of our commitment also includes a commitment to diversity--assisting the cultural needs of our students.
In addition to our other services, Student Health Services also provides:
- Care that incorporates the cultural needs of a patient. During an assessment, our staff is trained to ask and be attentive to cultural norms and traditions that might require special services or care. For example, a student might try to honor a religious holiday by fasting, but needs to take water or medicine for a certain procedure.
- Our staff is also trained to identify and work with students and their cultural needs.
