To qualify for enrollment in the James R. Russell Child Development Center, a child's parent must be affiliated with Creighton University as a student, staff or faculty member*. The Center welcomes and encourages the enrollment of all eligible families. No applicant is discriminated against because of the race, color, religion, ancestry, sexual preference, age, or national origin of the family. A child with special needs may be accepted based on the ability of the Center and the teachers to meet those needs.
*If there is no waiting list for an age group, the Center will accept enrollment from outside Creighton with a small additional fee.
A wait list exists for each classroom when enrollment is full. The wait list is based on the date the parent/guardian contacts the Center. There is no obligation to be on this list. Special exceptions for enrollment include families who currently have another child enrolled at the Center and undergraduate student parents.
Please call the Center (402-280-2460) for more information and/or to be added to our waiting list.
- All registration forms must be completed, including the record of immunizations, family information, and the parental permission and emergency care form.
- A deposit must be paid.
- The parent and child visit the Center.
- The enrollment contract is signed by the parent and the Center director.
- Evidence of a recent health exam or a written health statement from a health care professional must be provided for every child.
