Events

The Month of the Young Child is coming up in April!  Please see our calendar for Center activities!

The Russell Child Development Center closes along with the University for the following major holidays: 

  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas holiday break (the University is closed during the period from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day)
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Center will close on the preceding Friday.  If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the Center will close on the following Monday.

The Russell Child Development Center closes for two teacher work days per year.  On these days the teachers report but the Center is closed to children.  For 2012-2013, those dates are: 

  • Wednesday, November 21 (Day before Thanksgiving)
  • Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday)
