As an all university committee with a rich history, we are charged with advancing the status of women on campus. We want to make sure that voices on campus are being heard. Therefore committees will be quickly formed this fall and goals were established.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at StatusofWomen@creighton.edu.
The Committee on the Status of Women, along with the Benefits Committee, are pleased to share that Father Lannon has approved our proposal for paid parental leave. This paid four-week leave gives birth mothers, fathers, and adoptive parents the support to be with their children during these vital first weeks of life. It is also a testament to how Creighton can support the family life of its employees. More information about the utilization of this policy will be published through Human Resources soon. Parental leave is effective immediately.
Below are the materials that were submitted to Father Lannon on April 12, 2012. A final copy of the Parental Leave Policy will be shared through Human Resources.
