Magis Award

Magis Award

About the award: Creighton University, a Jesuit, Catholic institution, aspires not only to educate, but to be a crafter of society, always seeking to create a more just and peaceful world. We are inspired by Saint Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order, to consider and choose the greater good in our thoughts and deeds, so that we come to a greater love of God and others. This process is the essence of the term magis, literally, "the more." It is equated with generosity, magnanimity and selflessness.
