Super Sizzling Silk Screening
Create and design your own images and transfer them onto paper, clothes or anything else you can imagine. Bring any item with you to camp that you think needs a bit of artistic flair: t-shirt, jeans or a journal. This class will teach you the basics of silk screening so you will be able to transfer your own logo or design onto any flat surface.
Jennifer C. Shannon, M.S. taught art at Monroe Middle School. She has a Masters in curriculum and development from Peru State College and a BS degree in fashion design from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She has been a popular Ad Astra instructor for the past 2 years.
Computer Security 101
In this class we will look at all aspects of computer security, from physical security to online monitoring of passwords and surfing habits. Are you safe when you surf the web? How about "listening" in on wireless networks? This class will offer hands-on practice in informaton security and how to protect yourself from hackers, crackers and phishers.
Terry Begley is the Information Technology Coordinator for the College of Business at Creighton University. He has worked with personal computers and network technologies in 1981. In addition to maintaining the computer technology in the College of Business, he teaches introduction to Computing and Networking classes for the College.
Putting Our Mimes Together
This course will explore the various techniques and performance of the silent art of Pantomime. Students will learn how to tell stories through the use of mime movements, masks, music, sound, and random objects. Various forms of literature will also be introduced as inspiration for mime presentation. A great opportunity to explore, create, and loosen up your "inner mime!"
Michael McCandless, M.A. is on the theatre faculty of Creighton University and has been teaching acting for over twenty years. In addition, he is a professional actor who has appeared in numerous stage productions in Omaha and New England and has received numerous awards for his stage work.

Thomas Kuhlman, Ph.D., Associate Professor Emeritus, joined the Creighton English Dept. in 1967. He has taught Nebraska history, architecture, and creative writing as well as American, English, and world literature. He has written five plays and several books, the most recent of which is Baroque NEBRASKA, "An Architectural Entertainment." He has been an officer in numerous Omaha cultural organizations.
