 Brian Bock

 Freshman

 FACT: I have had 27 surgeries, and no left arm radius bone.  I love Chicago sports and I am Theravada Buddhist.

 Involvement/Interests: Martial Arts, “DJ”-ing and leadership

Being involved is extremely important to me.  I enjoy furthering the advancement of the groups I join and desire to use my creative talents to better the lives of others as well.

 FACT: I live in St. Louis and I'm a huge Cubs fan.

 Involvement/Interests: Cycling, music and "fun"

 

I decided to be a CSU representative because I want to improve student life at Creighton.  I am incredibly thankful for my experiences at Creighton and the effect on the person I am today.  However, I believe that there is room improvement and want to make sure that future students receive an even higher quality of student life.

 FACT: I was awarded the "dirtiest mustache" prize in the 2008 IFC Stache Bash.  I am proud.

 Involvement/Interests: Reading, a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, TV on DVD, live music, laughing, family, showcasing my superiority to Peter Woolman (see below) with incredible feats of strength

I wanted to get involved with CSU to help influence real change around Creighton- both on campus and in the community.  It's important to remember that Creighton doesn't stop at the end of the mall!

 FACT: I love eating shape macaroni and cheese and yes, it's better than regular.

 Involvement/Interests: I love playing volleyball, basketball and running I like to involved and meet new people.

It was my desire to discuss the issues within the Creighton Community and I desired the opportunity to make changes after hearing many suggestions from other students on campus.

I would like to help enhance the Creighton experience for all students and truly connect the Student body to CSU.

 FACT: I am an Irish Citizen.

 Involvement/Interests: Pro Sports, playing basketball, baseball and football

 

Sophomore year I saw a number of policies that were directly impacting and injuring my friends.  I joined CSU to try and over right the wrongs and change the rules that were injuring all students.

I possess a general interesting student life as well as realizing that CSU provided an opportunity to participate in a model government setting.

I feel I have an obligation to serve because I have been given so much.  I wanted to be involved in Student Government because I want to have a hand in the issues that affect my and my fellow students.

I wanted to be involved in the interests of the student body.  I think being in CSU will let me get the voice of the students heard and also promote CSU funded events.

 FACT: After this summer, I will have traveled to 10 countries aside from the US.

 Involvement/Interests: Creighton Center for Service and Justice and Vice President of the Rowing Team

I wanted to get involved with CSU in order to serve as an agent of positive change within this great institution.  Creighton University has changed me for the better, so this is my attempt to return the favor by reflecting the interests of my peers to the administration.

 FACT: I'm colorblind in one eye and I met Harrison Ford while serving at Famous Dave's.

 Involvement/Interests: Gymnastics, Reading, Cooking, EMS, Habitat for Humanity and laughing

 

I wanted to be able to put my voice into making my school a better place.  My passion to see change at Creighton led me to become a Representative.

 FACT: I was a State Champion Dairy Cow Showman- yes I am that cool!

 Involvement/Interests: Live music, the best “comb-over”… ever, Creighton Club soccer, a volunteer with Big Jays/Little Jays weekend, a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Road trips, Skiing, Hiking

I see CSU as having a broad effect on campus.  I want to become more involved with working in association with administration and students.  I am looking forward to the responsibility that goes with representing my peers.

I was inspired and excited with the idea of enacting change and making our campus a better place.
