The campus learning management system is Blackboard. Blackboard has numerous features and functionality to help faculty with creating tests, organizing course content and even keeping track of grades.
Creighton Blogging Service
With the growth of Web logs, more commonly known as Blogs, their use and potential has changed. Blogs provide another means of online communication, along with email, instant message discussion boards and traditional websites, that are easy to use and learn. Creighton Wiki
Working together was never so easy as with a wiki. Among the benefits of a wiki is the ability for anyone in the group to edit or update the team document. And the second is the ability to keep track of who made changes and what they changed.
Personal Webspace
Creighton University offers all members of the campus community 250Mb of webspace to use for personal web development or course site development. This space is outside the Blackboard space provided for each course.
PRS in the Classroom
PRS (Personal Response System) allows an instructor to get immediate feedback from students in the classroom. The benefit of PRS is knowing during a lecture if students are comprehending the material.
WebSurveyor
Surveys have long been regarded as a great data collection method. With advances in technology, surveys can now be created, distributed and analyzed online. Creighton University provides a free survey tool for all faculty and staff on campus called WebSurveyor.
Working with Windows Media
Video has grown in popularity as a dynamic way to instruct students. With streaming media now you can not only instruct students with video, you can connect with them where they live. Creighton University supports the Windows Media Streaming format.
