This tutorial gives an introduction to the functions of the Blackboard Course Management System. It explains each feature and describes the process for implementing them within a class.
After stepping through this tutorial, an instructor will be able to use this system to enhance their course. The tools and functions discussed in this tutorial include the Documents area, where course materials can be posted, the Tools area, allowing for several communication options among students as well as between students and faculty, the Assessment area, enabling the use of online testing, and the Options area, giving the faculty design options to customize and maintain their course.
