Initiative: BlueCast: Lecture Capture

"BlueCast" is a lecture capture system that has been growing in campus classrooms since the fall 2010 semester. BlueCast brings faculty members the option to record their classroom lectures for students to study and review.
The BlueCast lecture capture system includes the option to record video and audio in the classroom, as well as the computer desktop and any lecture presentation. These options can be turned off by the instructor.
BlueCast has grown over the past year, and is now installed in most campus classrooms. If you are a faculty member and are interested in learning how to use this technology, please visit the BlueCast link (available on the CU home page under the BlueSuite of applications) for information or by contacting the Service Desk at 402-280-1111.
Initiative: Password Resets and AMI Information

In continued efforts to support the security of Creighton University information and data and to add functionality for University students, faculty and staff, your active participation is needed.
If you have not yet created your security profile in AMI, please log into AMI and do so. By creating this unique security profile, you will be able to reset your BLUE password should you ever forget it. This will also allow you to reset your password securely without needing your Creighton ID or having part of your SSN in your password. You can create your profile by logging in to AMI at https://ami.creighton.edu and selecting "Update Security Profile" from the menu on the left.

You can reserve time for a consultation at: http://www.appointment.com/cuservicedesk
•Appointments can also be scheduled by calling 402-280-1111. •Be sure to specify whether your appointment is over the phone (off campus students) or in-office (on campus students).

Initiative: REMINDER: Never Share Your Password!

Phishing Scams: Never share your password with anyone! Do not reply to any e-mail asking to verify your personal data or click on an unfamiliar web link. Creighton will NEVER ask you to provide personal information (i.e. SSN, IDs, passwords, Credit Card information, PIN numbers, etc) via e-mail. Contact DoIT right away at 402-280-1111 or servicedesk@creighton.edu to ask for clarification of such e-mails or if you have questions or concerns.
