Status and Alerts
DoIT maintains many systems and services, and much as we try, they do have expected and unexpected outages. There are many systems in place to alert our customers when something has gone wrong.
Alert Reporting
The Service Desk is responsible for reporting system-wide outages or planned outages to the Creighton community using the following methods:
- Service Desk Phone System Status Message
If we are aware of a system-wide outage or issue we will report it via the Service Desk Menu message. To hear the message, call (402) 280-1111 and the message will play prior to the options.
- JAYNET_Alert
JAYNet_Alert is a way for the Service Desk to notify subscribed users of system-wide outages or planned outages. You can subscribe at: mailman.creighton.edu/mailman/listinfo/jaynet-alert
- CU_Official listserv
All faculty, staff and students on Creighton’s campus are subscribed to the CU_Official listserv. The Service Desk notifies the campus via CU_Official of current system wide outages.
- Online IT Notices
IT status, alerts and maintenance will be posted at http://www2.creighton.edu/doit/alerts/itnotices/.
