Adding New Content to a blank page

New Content
So you have a brand new page, and you want to put brand new content on it. How to do this?
The various types of content is covered in "Types of Content Available"
New content in the "Page" module
To add content onto a new page when you are in Page View you will click any of 7 icons/buttons.

- New content icon in header bar.
- New content button just above columns
- New content button, Left Column (note that after clicking this icon you can change columns).
- New content button, Normal Column (note that after clicking this icon you can change columns).
- New content button, Right Column (note that after clicking this icon you can change columns).
- New content button, Border Column (note that after clicking this icon you can change columns).
- "Create page content" in the Normal Column.
New content in the "View" module
Simply put, you can't get there from here. Adding content has to be added on Page module or List module. While in the View module you can use the contextual menu of the pagetree to add new content.
New content in the "List" module - blank page
If you page is blank and you are in the list module, then there is only one icon/button to click to add content.

New Content Wizard
If you find when you click on "New Regualar Text Element" in the pagecontent wizard, that it appears does nothing, check to see if you are also being prompted for the column you wish to place it in. This wizard will appear if you have clicked the "Create new content element" on Page or "Create New Record" on List, both of these are at the top of the work area in the darker gray.
The wizard is two steps:
- Choose what kind of content you want. More information on the types of content.
- Choose what column you want to place it in.

NOTE: Plugins may no longer be available. There currently are no plugins that a user can implement without assistance from the webteam.
New Content via pagetree contextual menu
You can do this from any module where you can see the pagetree. Page, List or View.
Click the icon of the page on which you wish to add content. Pull down to New.

You will then get the "New Record" work area where you can choose to go straight to the editor or use the "wizard" in adding new content.

If you choose "Pagecontent" you will go straight to the Pagecontent tabs. You will have to choose what column you want the content in on the "General" Tab (it will default to "Normal" column).
If you choose "Click here for wizard" it will step you though how to do this.
