Help I cannot login

There are a couple of things that might be happening here.

1.  We've restricted Typo3 access to networks within the Creighton campus.  Now this does not include all dorms.  Some dormatories have another network.  So if you see the following:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /typo3/ on this server.

Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at medschool.creighton.edu Port 80

this means that you are outside of the Creighton network and you will need to use our VPN (virtual private network) to login.  The VPN is available through DoIT https://doit.creighton.edu/

Now if you are in class or at work and suspend your computer with the Typo3 login page still in an open browser it may give you the appearance that you can login when you get back onto your computer.  If you try to login and see the above message that means that while you had your compter suspended, you moved out of the Creighton network (as can happen if you were in a library and then went back to one of the dormatories that is outside of Creighton's network).

2.  Sometimes if a user hasn't logged into Typo3 in a very long time, we will disable that user.  You would get a message like this if you tried to login once we've disabled that user:

Your login attempt did not succeed

Make sure to spell your username and password correctly, including upper/lowercase characters.

If this happens notify the webteam and we'll re-enstate your user.

3.  We are beginning the process of migration to Drupal.  If you are an editor for a site, have not edited it for a long time and do not know if it's still on Typo3 (or cannot log into Typo3) you might check with the individual in charge of the site or the webteam and we will let you know where the site is and how to gain access.

4.  We've instituted a policy that requires site owners (faculty or staff) to approve who has access to a site.  So if you cannot login, it's possible that we will require you to get permission from the individual in charge of the site to allow you access again.
