The Division of Information Technology has developed technology packages for students entering Creighton University in Fall, 2009. ThinkPad Notebooks and Tablet PCs, as well as MacBooks are offered through the program. Please learn about the different options below.
Purchase a PC
The PC Notebook branch of our Student Computer Purchasing Program offers ThinkPad notebooks and Tablet PCs. All PCs ordered through our program will be shipped directly to your home. To order one of the PC notebooks and for additional information Click Here.
All computers offered through the PC Notebook branch of our program include the following:
- 4 year on-campus warranty (note: battery warranty is 1 yr)*
- 4 year accidental damage protection*
- Creighton Software Suite
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Symantec Antivirus
- Creighton Mobile Computing Kit
- Carrying Case
- 4 GB Flash Drive
- 20' Ethernet Cable
*Please note that warranty is provided by Lenovo and NOT Creighton University. Please read Lenovo's warranty policy coverage closely as terms and coverage may change. Also systems are not insured by Creighton University. We recommend you check with your homeowner's policy to add the laptop to your coverage.
Apple does not offer accidental damage protection on their laptops even with the purchase of Applecare. We have partnered with Safeware to offer this protection to students. The cost of this protection will NOT be added to the price you see on the Apple Webpage and must be purchased separately. After buying your Mac, please Click Here to purchase accidental damage protection. Another option would be to see if your homeowners insurance will cover accidental damage to the laptop.
Creighton offers pre-configured Macbooks and MacBook Pro notebooks through our online Apple Store at a discounted price with an extended warranty**. Certain departments such as Journalism highly recommend purchasing a Mac.
Apple Computers can be ordered at any time and will be delivered to the address specified when ordering. Check the Apple site for approximate delivery times. We recommend ordering at least two weeks before you plan to arrive on campus.
